Dr. Robert Cohen M.D., CCFP
Dr. Cohen received his MD from Dalhousie University in 1998 and did his Family Medicine training at the University of Alberta. He practised a broad scope of community based Family Medicine with an interest in primary prevention and screening. Dr. Cohen joined the Centre for Sleep and Human Performance in 2006 where he provides comprehensive clinical care of sleep disorders.
He has been part of the research team that assesses the role sleep plays in elite athletes and that developed a jet lag management protocol. Dr. Cohen has also given invited presentations to public and professional audiences in the areas of insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea and sleep in medical disorders. His current areas of interest are the primary care approach to sleep disorders, the relationship of sleep and athletic performance and the management of shift work sleep disorder.
